WALK & TALK— BLOOMINGDALE/606 TRAIL
Join us for a walk on the Bloomingdale/606 Trail - a 2.7-mile elevated rail trail running east–west on the northwest side of Chicago. It is the longest greenway project of a former rail line in the United States, and the second longest in the world, after the Promenade plantee rail trail in Paris.
Meet at the big rocks in front of the mural at 1813 North Milwaukee Avenue (see photo).
Accessible by CTA Blue Line train (Western Avenue station) and CTA buses 56, 72, and 7
Street parking available.
(This is the walk originally scheduled for November 12, cancelled due to the mayor’s Covid
quarantine advisory. We had a great turnout walking half of the trail in September. This time we
will walk in the other direction, westward.)
