Who We Are: Profile of Our Members

International Women Associates (IWA) is a Chicago-area forum that connects women with diverse international backgrounds. The membership is comprised of approximately 350 members from 60 different countries.

IWA represents not only a diversity of cultures, but of ages, professions, and ethnicities, from young professionals to active grandmothers.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP

IWA welcomes women who are foreign born or American women whose spouses/partners, parents, or grandparents are foreign born, who have been living abroad themselves, or whose family member is or has been engaged in international business, international education, or the diplomatic service.

New members are nominated by current members. If an applicant does not know a current IWA member, she may apply online to initiate the membership process. Candidates for membership are approved by the Board of Directors upon the recommendation of the Director for Membership.
