Who Speaks for the Land? How We Shape the Places We Call Home
What does it mean to think of Chicago not only as a great city, but as an ecological place?
Drawing on his work as President and CEO of Openlands, Michael Davidson will explore how the choices we make about land shape the future of our communities, our environment, and our quality of life. From the lakefront and urban development to parks, trails, wildlife, and the landscapes beyond the city, he’ll share stories of people who have imagined a different future for the places they care about, and then worked together to make it happen.
At the heart of the conversation is a simple question: What should happen here? And what can each of us do to help make that answer a reality?
