What is love? Tender, passionate, joyful, bittersweet, heartbreaking, even torturous. Love has inspired some of the most beautiful and powerful music ever written.
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, join IWA for an intimate afternoon piano salon with internationally acclaimed pianist Ani Gogova at her studio in Chicago’s historic Fine Arts Building. Through a specially selected program inspired by our theme, “Love Is…”, Ani will take us on a musical journey exploring the many expressions of love through the piano.
Described for her “dazzling artistic presence,” “masterful poetic expression,” and “ravishing colors,” Ani has captivated audiences around the world for nearly two decades. Her recent appearances include Carnegie Hall, Chicago’s Harris Theater, the Chicago Cultural Center, and the Embassy of Bulgaria in Washington, D.C. Her performances have been featured by NPR, WBEZ, TEDx Talks, and WFMT Chicago, and recommended by both the Chicago Tribune and Time Out Chicago.
Ani holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan and previously served on the faculty of Roosevelt University’s Music Conservatory. She currently teaches at the University of Chicago and gives masterclasses around the world.
Bring your favorite wine or beverage and join us for an afternoon of beautiful music, conversation, and love.
Space is limited to 40 IWA members and guests.
