Meet at the Chicago Water Taxi ticket booth at the Chicago River, downtown. (Exact meeting point details available after registration. Exact meeting time after the autumn Water Taxi schedule is announced, around September 1.)

The trip to Chinatown takes 45 minutes. 

Program Itinerary:

11:00 am: Meet at the Chinatown Gate, 2206 South Wentworth Avenue, where Lucia Lee will give a brief Chinatown introduction and tour. 

12:00 pm: Lunch at Evergreen Restaurant, 2411 South Wentworth Avenue. Historic restaurant with delicious, authentic Chinese food and great cocktails. Please bring cash! 

1:00 pm: Stroll and enjoy Chinatown shops, or return home (Water Taxi, car, or CTA Red Line. The train ride from Cermak/Chinatown CTA station to downtown Chicago takes about 10 minutes.)

The program involves 30-60 minutes of walking. The distance from the Water Taxi Chinatown terminal to Evergreen Restaurant is 0.8 miles, about 20 minutes.
