Tour of Glessner House and Historic Prairie Avenue District (South Loop)

Glessner House Museum, a Distinctive Destination of the National Trust, is an urban residential architectural masterpiece in Chicago and served as inspiration for some of the greatest architects of all time, including Louis Sullivan, Mies van der Rohe, and a young Frank Lloyd Wright.
Meet 12:45 p.m. at Glessner House, 1800 S Prairie Ave (South Loop).
Tour starts promptly at 1:00 p.m. Lasts 1 - 1.5 hours
After the Glessner House tour, an optional short walking tour of beautiful,
historic Prairie Avenue district.
$20 per person (Glessner entrance + guide)
Maximum 30 IWA members and guests. One guest per member.
There are some stairs in the museum.
Convenient to CTA buses 3 and 4.

Suggestion: A good spot for lunch beforehand is one block away, Spoke & Bird Cafe, 205 E 18th St. (Not part of the program - lunch on our own at a fun and convenient cafe with good food, indoor + outdoor seating. If you want to join us, suggested arrival 11:30 - 11:45 a.m.) We will leave Spoke & Bird about 12:40 p.m.
