James Minx has had a distinguished career in law enforcement and public
safety. His many accomplishments include:
Retirement as a Sergeant from the Illinois State Police after 28 years of service, and
serving as a Master Instructor at the State Police Academy in Street Survival Skills and
Self-Defense Skills. He is currently a training instructor and consultant for Loyola
University-Chicago Police Department.
His additional honors include selection by U.S. State Department to instruct at the
National Police Academy in Kosovo and by the U.N. to be a Peacekeeper Election
Observer in East Temor, Indonesia.
Mr. Minx obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University in Law
Enforcement Administration.
