Annual Book Distribution for All Students

at George B. Swift Specialty School

8:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

George B. Swift Specialty School, a Chicago Public School serving many immigrant and refugee students, has a long and meaningful relationship with IWA. Through our philanthropy book distribution program, all students (Grades Pre-K through 8) choose two books to take home and call their own.

Volunteers are needed throughout the day — setting up/replenishing/taking down book displays, mingling with students and helping them select their books.

This event is always a beautiful experience for IWA volunteers, students, and the wonderful Swift School teachers and staff!

Please register online, indicating if you prefer AM or PM.  You can come for the day, half the day, or an hour or two. (The school needs a list of all our volunteers.)

Closer to December 14, we will reach out to you about scheduling.
