Directions: El Burén is located on Waukegan Ave/Sheridan Rd east of the Highwood train tracks and between Walker Ave on the north and Highwood Ave on the south. Free street parking available.

Menu for El Burén  - IWA North Shore International Dining Night:
 
Soup - Homemade Plantain Soup made with
Plantains, chicken broth, olive oil and the garnish of plantain chips.
Appetizers - Tostones Rellenos, Fried green plantains selection - stuffed with ropa vieja (shredded beef), and stuffed with avocado,  both in a mayo/ketchup garlic sauce.
 
Dinner Entrée (please select one during registration):
 
Pollo Jamaiquino: Hot succulent Jamaican jerk chicken. This cage free boneless, airline breast, and boneless thigh meat is a tropical treat, served with white rice black beans, sweet plantains, and topped with fresh mango salsa. (Spicy -has a kick to it, but not extreme or over powering.)
 
Grilled Salmon: Grilled salmon in a white wine garlic sauce, served with sautéed vegetables of mushrooms, green beans, asparagus and potatoes.
Dessert - Coconut flan.
