IWA Hellenic Program in partnership with Hellenic Link-Midwest, presents

“Remembering Sappho”

Sappho, a lyric poet from the Greek island of Lesbos about 600 BCE, composed poems to and about women that suggest a love of life and rich appreciation for ethical concepts.

Our very qualified presenter is Patricia Graham-Skoul, who is an Adjunct Professor in the department of Classical Studies at Loyola University Chicago. Her research interests focus on Greek Lyric Poetry and Ethical Values, Artistic and Literary Imagery Associated with the Representation of Women in Greek and Roman Society, and Pedagogy.

The Zoom will be hosted by Hellenic Link-Midwest (not the IWA office). If you have any questions, please contact Eugenia “Jeannie” Taylor at Eugenia.Taylor@prudential.com.
