Program: Technology Tips for All Devices: How to Stay Safe Online
Do you have an Instagram? Any messaging app? A smartphone? Do you know all your settings for each platform? In a video chat, IWA member Tara Jabbari will go over the basics of understanding what are the different privacy settings on their smartphones and social media profiles. Understanding your privacy settings will help you and your loved ones be more conscious of how the internet, social media and anything digital really does impact your life.
Please note that this will be for any smart device, not just Apple products. After the presentation, there will be a Q&A portion.
Presenter: Tara Jabbari has been working in media for over 10 years in the USA, England and New Zealand as a video producer, editor and marketer. She has an M.A. from Georgetown University in Communication, Culture & Technology and has been teaching online about social media etiquette and online safety.
