Program: IWA member and published author Heather Refetoff will tell us her experiences with the joys and frustrations of the creative writing process. After her presentation, she will demonstrate one of the devices to cure “writer’s block.” Take an unfamiliar sentence as the first line for a paragraph --- “She knew the minute she entered the room that something was terribly wrong.” What is going on here? We can try our hand at writing a few sentences to follow this intriguing beginning!! If you wish, try it at home and bring your product. Heather will provide us with additional first lines to play with. You can come to participate or just to observe.
