Program: Behind-the-Scene of Intuit, Intuitive and Outsider Art
Short Description: Intuit is the only nonprofit organization in the U.S. devoted to the exclusive presentation of outsider and contemporary self-taught art. It is a vital resource for students, scholars and the art enthusiasts, featuring a permanent collection containing 1,100+ works of art. It has consistently been on Time Out Top 10 things to do in Chicago for the last several years.
Presenters: Members will get a tour of the exhibit Justin Duerr: Surrender to Survival with the executive director Deb Kerr who is a pillar in the non-profit community here in Chicago. This will be followed by a panel discussion with Deb, the founders of Intuit and other leading women in the Outsider Art community. It will be facilitated by our very own IWA member Twisha Shah-Brandenburg.
